A library's policy page is one of the key resources that ensures the proper working of the 24/7 Reference Cooperative. An informative policy page helps the Cooperative librarians do a better job answering questions for your patrons. However, over the course of time, we have found that libraries are not always consistent in how the policy pages are completed. So, to reduce confusion and ensure greater consistency, we have provided guidelines to help you fill out your library's policy page. The new guidelines can be found on the QP wiki, at: http://wiki.questionpoint.org/Policy+Page+Guidelines
To commemorate the new guidelines, we are announcing a special Policy Page Day for today, Thursday, December 18. On Thursday, please take a few moments to review your library's policy page and make sure it is consistent with these new guidelines. We will also be available via QP chat on Thursday, from 9 AM ET to 2 PM ET, to answer any questions you have as you review your policy page. You can find us online next Thursday at: http://www5.oclc.org/questionpoint/quality/ask.html
To create or update your library's policy page, follow these instructions: http://www.questionpoint.org/crs/html/help/en/profile/pr_policy_task.html
Thanks in advance for helping our Cooperative provide the best service possible to your users by updating your library's policy page! If you have any questions about your policy page, please come chat with us this Thursday during our "office hours" (9 AM ET to 2 PM ET), or email me at mcglames@oclc.org
