Here are three more questions or requests we've received in the last year. Are you familiar with these features or methods for reporting?
We need to provide more patron information when we add telephone or walk-up questions to QP. You can identify up to 10 form fields in which to enter patron information when you use the Add Question feature. Take a look at http://www.questionpoint.org/crs/html/help/ru/ask/ask_process_addlabels.html. This video demonstrates how to add and use the form fields: Download Add_Question (This video application can take around 30 seconds to load.)
QuestionPoint should provide spam protection. QuestionPoint offers a number of options for spam filtering. You can read about them at http://www.questionpoint.org/crs/html/help/en/admin/ad_forms_spamfilter.html. In addition, using the QP Forms Manager to build your chat and email forms, in and of itself, provides heightened spam protection.
We need to be able to produce a report of the chat session times and the average session time. The tabular display of sessions in Ask >> Review Transcripts >> General shows session length in seconds in the sixth column. This table can be exported as an Excel file. (Click on images below to enlarge.)
Also, the Form Fields link, in the Review Transcripts module, enables you to export by Excel, month by month.
Finally, for older data, use the Offline link in the Review Transcripts module. Select Fielded Data on the first set-up page (Select Database), set whatever limits you want (Limit Search page), then be sure to choose the Excel format and Session Time on the third and final set-up page (Select Fields).
Once you have the Excel file, you can use the spreadsheet functions to calculate the average Session Time spent for each chat transcript.
If you have questions about any of the above or want more information pertaining to these features, e-mail Paula Rumbaugh at [email protected].
